Herne Bay’s long-awaited Minor Injuries Unit opened in September.

Patients can visit the Minor Injuries Unit at the Queen Victoria Memorial Hospital, King Edward Avenue, Herne Bay from 8am to 8pm, seven days a week for injuries such as sprains, bites, cuts, burns, as well as eye and ear injuries.

Doctors from four of our local GP surgeries have united to run the Unit, which will be similar to the Estuary View Medical Centre in Whitstable; it will be led by nurses.

There will also be access to an x-ray machine from Monday to Thursday at the Unit, which is the first phase of an Integrated Care Centre (ICC) in Herne Bay.
