It will be necessary to close Broadoak Level Crossing, Broad Oak, Canterbury, planned for Sunday 3 June 2018 from 0.30 am (half past midnight) continuing through until Monday 4 June at approximately 5.00 am.
Shalloak Road will be closed in the vicinity of Broadoak Level Crossing, with no through access.
The alternative route is via Vauxhall Road, A28 Sturry Road, Mill Road, A291 Sturry Hill, Herne Bay Road, Sweechgate and Shalloak Road.
Access remains from either direction up to where Shalloak Road is closed, but there will be no through access.
On-site arrangements will be in place for any pedestrians.
The closure is to enable Network Rail to carry out level crossing maintenance and other associated works.
For safety reasons, the closure has been timed to coincide with a suspension of rail services, to allow works to be carried out whilst no trains are in operation.
There is a possibility that the works may over-run for such reasons as adverse weather conditions or unforeseen engineering difficulties.
