(50 MPH and 40 MPH SPEED LIMITS)

 

Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 – Section 14 (2)

 

For the safety of the public and workforce whilst works are carried out to repair drainage gully’s in the carriageway, Kent County Council gives notice that on or after the 4th March temporary mandatory speed limits will be applied as follows:

 

A compulsory speed limit of 50 mph will be imposed to coast bound traffic from a point approximately 320 meters east of the Crab and Winkle over-bridge to approximately 175 meters east of Radfall Hill over-bridge.

 

A compulsory speed limit of 40mph will be imposed to coast bound traffic from Radfall Hill over-bridge to the layby adjacent to the Thornden Wood Road substation.

 

Due to the nature of the works the speed limits will need to remain in force at all times.

 

This Notice applies when the relevant signs and barriers are on site and is valid for a period of no more than 21 days.
