Kent and Canterbury Hospital at Canterbury is one of the three main hospitals in the East Kent Hospitals Trust.

The original hospital opened in 1793. Though the current building dates from 1937 it has developed considerably since then, with major extension completed in the 1960s. During the summer of 2001 the Health Care of Older People Unit was transferred from the Nunnery Fields hospital, Canterbury to the 1937 building. Day hospital facilities were added and several wards were refurbished so that this could take place.

During the two years from July 2004 more building work and refurbishment is taking place at the hospital, as part of broader changes to hospital services in east Kent.
