Let the race season begin!
Best of luck to all of our riders who will be taking part in any racing across the country this coming month. Hopefully all that winter training will be put to good use, but most importantly enjoy the experience and have fun!!!
With the race season in mind, we will be placing a jersey and number plate order at the end of April. If anyone would like to purchase a jersey or number plate, please email email@example.com or chat to the committee at the track.
Youth Jerseys: £30
Adult Jerseys: £35
Number plate stickers: £8 for members, £10 for non members. (Race plates are available to purchase at a discounted club members rate from Tyred Bikes). [We will also be doing placing an order for t-shrit and hoodies soon—more info on this will be posted in next months edition.]
We will be looking at updating the club jersey at the end of this race season (September). The aim will be to run each design for two years. This year, we are looking to run a competition where you will be able to have your say in the design and colour of the next club edition. This competition will begin in June and entries will close at the South Regional Championships (15/09). Further information will be available soon!

Just a quick reminder that if you have not yet done so, please complete and return a membership form to the club container ASAP.
Family Membership £30 (three or more people at the same address)
Individual Membership £20 (any single riders of any age)
If you’re looking to purchase a British Cycling Race License this year, we have an offer from them for club members to receive discounted BC membership if they are joining for the first time—leaflets for this will be in the club container each Saturday for you to read and fill in should this be of interest to you.
Over the course of this year and in preparation for our race on 15th September, we will be looking to put together a team of willing volunteers to help keep this ship sailing!
In light of this, we have created a WhatsApp Volunteers group chat so that we can arrange maintenance days and discuss track work with members who wish to have an active role within this— this information will always be posted in the newsletter or on our clubs Facebook page afterwards but, if you want to have an active role as a club volunteer and want to be included in this group, please chat to Nat at the track or via email or text.
If you’re willing to help out but do not want to be included in this chat, please speak to any member of the club committee about taking on a volunteering role!
There are always weekly jobs to be completed and we will aim to have a tick list up in the container each week for this; if you’re able to lend some time while your pocket rockets ride, please refer to this list and get stuck in! Or, chat to the committee and see where else you can lend a hand.
