Temporary Road Closure – A299 Thanet Way, Herne and Broomfield – 5th March 2020 

Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic travelling westbound on A299 Thanet Way, Herne and Broomfield from 5th March 2020 for up to 1 night between the hours of 20:00 and 04:00.

The road will be closed westbound from the junction with B2205 Margate Road to the junction with A291 Canterbury Road. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via A299 westbound off-slip, A291 Canterbury Road and the westbound on-slip.

Access for emergency service vehicles and pedestrians will be maintained at all times during the closure.

The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while principal bridge inspection works are undertaken by Kent County Council.
