Canterbury City Council Military Road offices closed

Military Road offices closed

We have now closed our office in Military Road to the public for the foreseeable future, but are still here to help those who need us.

Our website is the quickest and easiest way to access our services, and our phone lines are open for anyone who has specific or detailed queries that cannot be dealt with online. Call 01227 862000.

Homelessness services are continuing and we have special arrangements in place for anyone who needs our help.

Need help from the community?

Do you or someone you know need extra help?

This could be getting help with food shopping, someone collecting regular prescriptions for you or simply asking for someone to call you every now and then to keep in touch with the outside world.

Register to get help from your community today at https://www.canterbury.gov.uk/help

Sign up to volunteer your help

Many vulnerable residents may need extra help at the moment. That’s why we’re looking for volunteers to join us in helping to support these vulnerable groups.

As a volunteer, you could:

·        Help with shopping

·        Collect regular prescriptions

·        Make a friendly phone call to someone isolated

Find out more about who can volunteer and get involved at https://www.canterbury.gov.uk/volunteer

Play areas have shut

In line with government advice, all play areas across the district are closed until further notice.

We will be adding signs and locking play areas where possible, but please follow the advice and do not use them.

Bin collections

Some information has been wrongly posted online saying recycling collections have been suspended. This is incorrect. Blue and red bin collections are continuing as normal.

The only collections currently suspended are garden bins.
