THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
TEMPORARY ORDER AUGUST 2020
To allow survey works to be carried out as part of the Bullockstone Road Improvement Scheme, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Bullockstone Road, Herne Bay.
Closures are planned from 24th August 2020, between the hours of 08:00 and 18:00, with estimated completion by 25th August 2020, or where stated on a valid Permit (GE710HRR-001 – Kent County Council).
The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signage on site and the works will be displayed on one.network Bullockstone Road will be closed in two phases, between the junction with A291 Canterbury Road to outside Four Oaks and from the junction with Lower Herne Road for 330 metres in a northerly direction, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The closures are required for the safety of the public and workforce while survey works as part of the Bullockstone Road Improvement Scheme are undertaken by Kent County Council.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via A291 Canterbury Road, Herne Street, Lower Herne Road and vice versa.
Access for emergency service vehicles and pedestrians will be maintained at all times during the closure.
